Little League® International Remembers Donald Baker, Former Virginia District 13 Administrator

Little League® International honors the memory of former Virginia District 13 Administrator Donald Baker. He was 83.

Mr. Baker, a native of Clintwood, Virginia, was widely recognized for his public service and as an influential figure in local, regional, and state politics. For 41 years, he was the Mayor of Clintwood, and a member of its city council.

For 60 years, Mr. Baker was a Little League volunteer. Many of those years spent as Virginia District 13 Administrator.

A long-time member of the Army Reserve, attaining the rank of Sergeant, Mr. Baker also worked professionally for his family’s coal company, and as a Bank Director for various lending institutions.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his wife, Martha; his parents, James and Nell Baker; and brothers, Harold, Carl, and Marvin. He is survived by his sons, Greg and Mike; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
