Roe Switches to HMD Motorsports ahead of Indy Lights Music City Grand Prix – Motorsport.ie

Only two weeks after expanding to six entries in the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires Championship, HMD Motorsports has added James Roe to the HMD Motorsports with Dale Coyne Racing family for the upcoming Indy Lights Music City Grand Prix this weekend, August 5-7. Piloting the #11 entry, Roe will take on the temporary street circuit in downtown Nashville.

After the departure of another driver from the team, Roe will be slotting into the #11 Topcon Positioning Systems, CES Power, and Trintech branded HMD Motorsports entry. Roe has competed in the nine previous Indy Lights races this season and has earned a pair of seventh-place finishes at both the Detroit Grand Prix and Road America.

“I am extremely excited to be joining HMD this coming weekend. It is a great opportunity for me to immerse myself in their championship caliber Indy Lights program,” explained James Roe. “I’d like to thank Henry Malukas and Global Racing Group for their assistance throughout the past week along with my partners and supporters.”

Set to hit the track on Friday afternoon, Roe will look to get up to speed quickly as he joins a six-driver program and has a lot of experience around him. Roe looks forward to taking advantage of every opportunity to better himself, gain experience and knowledge and reset his best results in the ongoing 2022 season.
