IOM TT : Dave Johnson ruled out of Northwest200 due to injury at Oulton

May 3rd 2022 –

Update DAVID “DAVO” JOHNSON

Returning to the UK in preparation for the Northwest 200 and Isle of Man TT Davo has been competing in the British Superbike Series in readiness to tackle his 2022 roads campaign backed by OMG Racing UK and Rich Energy

Having competed at the Oulton Park test day it was all systems go for the May bank holiday meeting which took place last weekend, the likeable Aussie was looking forward to getting back in the groove in readiness for the Northwest 200 which commences in a few days time prior to the Isle of Man TT

During Monday’s race Dave high sided his machine whilst exiting Hizzies Chicane at the bottom of Clay Hill crashing heavily, fracturing his pelvis and collar bone.

This rules him out for his Northwest 200 campaign, but has said that he hopes to be fit to race at the Isle of Man TT.

Having won the Classic TT in 2019 this is a disappointing start to his road season here in the UK, we can only wish him well on a speedy recovery and hope he is indeed fit enough to take part at the IOM TT which starts May 28th.
