Happy Tuesday! The NBA is back off a loaded 11-game slate with a short and sweet four-game card, including a big matchup against championship hopefuls. Without further ado, let’s survey DraftKings Sportsbook for some player props, totals and sides to bet. You can follow me on Twitter (@KennyDucey) for any late adds.

With Bradley Beal listed as questionable, I think the scales have tipped too far towards the Hornets here for me. I’m about as bullish as they come on the Hornets, who have managed to cover in four straight games since seeing LaMelo Ball go down with a season-ending wrist injury. They should have the size down low to combat a Wizards team that is second in points in the paint over the last five games, and the loss of Ball, while a huge detriment to the offense, actually slightly improves the Hornets’ defense as a whole. Terry Rozier will do his best to lock up Russell Westbrook and probably has a better chance than Ball would have.
The Sixers have been rolling, going 8-3 since losing Joel Embiid, but I expect that roll to slow just a bit here. Why? Well, Dwight Howard and Mike Scott are going to be asked to do one of the toughest things in basketball: Stop Nikola Jokic. Philly’s frontcourt has yet to be tested against an elite post-up presence like Jokic, and I don’t anticipate it going well. There are also two other deciding factors for me here. One is that the Sixers like to slow games down and hunt good shots, and will be uncomfortable against the fast pace of the Nuggets. The other is that Philly is 10-12-2 ATS on the road this year, so I’m loving this as one of the best Sixers fade spots.

This certainly feels like a ton of points, but consider that the Suns have ranked fifth in defensive efficiency and fourth in effective field goal percentage against, and will face a team that’s done its best work of late against weak defenses. So, the Hawks will be up against a much tougher side here than they’ve played in weeks, and they’ll also be on the road, where they’re 12-13-1 ATS this year. I think defense will make the biggest difference here, and it doesn’t hurt that the Suns have Deandre Ayton to combat the issue that is Clint Capela.
