NASCAR great Rusty Wallace ‘ducks’ jeep with help of fan at foundation event

NASCAR great Rusty Wallace got a chance to take part in a popular game among jeep owners on Wednesday.Angie Robinson, of Ohio, met Wallace during a NASCAR Foundation event where she got to drive her jeep on the track.“It was so funny,” Robinson said when she spotted the great. “I said ‘Mom, I think that’s Rusty Wallace.’”Robinson, with a bunch of rubber ducks in her car thanks to Jeep Girls Club of Florida, asked for a picture but first told Wallace he wanted him to duck the jeep in front of her.Duck Duck Jeeps is a popular game among jeep owners. The game involves placing a rubber duck on someone else’s jeep and they, in return, have to continue by planting it on another jeep.She said he reacted with a “What am I doing?!” not understanding the game but posing for a picture as he handed the woman in the jeep in front of Robinson the rubber duck.“I had to do it!” Robinson said. “The lady driving the jeep in front of me was like ‘Oh my gosh, that was the coolest thing ever!’”Robinson said she comes down to Florida for spring break often and signed up for the NASCAR event after missing out on Jeep Beach. In a surprise twist of events, the woman who received the duck from Wallace reached into her Jeep and pulled out a sticker to give to Robinson.Though she said she still isn’t sure if Wallace knows what Duck, Duck Jeep is, she was excited that he played along.
