NASCAR Cup Series at Dover: Live results, highlights, updates for the Drydene 400

With 12 of 36 races in the books, the NASCAR Cup Series has hit the one-third mark of their season and is right on the threshold of halfway before the end of the regular season and the start of the NASCAR Playoffs. So far, 10 drivers have claimed a spot on the playoff grid by virtue of winning a race, and a number of expected winners are still seeking their first trip to Victory Lane.

NASCAR star’s next shot at Victory Lane comes with their annual visit to Dover International Speedway in Delaware, a track which has more than earned its reputation. Nicknamed “The Monster Mile”, Dover’s concrete surface and high banks all the way around are notoriously difficult on equipment and drivers, with any driver who manages to conquer it receiving enormous satisfaction in doing so. The winners of both of Dover’s races in 2020, Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick, are hoping to tame the Monster again this weekend. Despite dominating much of last season, both drivers have yet to win a race this year.

Martin Truex Jr., the only driver to win more than once this season, will lead the field to the green flag fresh off his dominant victory last week at Darlington Raceway. The Drydene 400 at Dover begins at 2 PM EST on FS1.
