Women’s Lacrosse Falls to LIU at Home

Central Connecticut State women’s lacrosse dropped its home matchup to LIU on Wednesday, falling to the Sharks 14-7. Olivia Gianakos, CCSU’s leading scorer, notched a hat trick for CCSU with three scores against the Sharks.

  • Lauren Valluzzi scored the first goal for CCSU on an unassisted goal to put the Blue Devils up 1-0.
  • Olivia Gianakos scored another unassisted goal for CCSU after the Sharks had taken a 3-1 advantage.

  • Gianakos scored her third goal of the game with 4:04 remaining. Rosie Sconzo followed that up with another score for CCSU, putting the Blue Devils behind 14-7.
