August 28, 2022 – National Lacrosse League (NLL) – Toronto Rock News Release
Oakville, ON – Two of the three Jr. Rock teams at the 2022 Jr. NLL Tournament won their age divisions in impressive fashion, winning every game they played at this year’s event on their way to U13 and U15 championships. The Rock came up just short of a clean sweep with the U17 Jr. Rock falling in overtime to the Jr. Mammoth.
The three-day tournament attracted teams from across the NLL with games being played at the Glen Abbey Recreation Centre and the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) in Oakville, ON.
These two titles run the Jr. Rock event totals to 13 Jr. NLL championships over the eight years of the event. Rock goaltender Nick Rose has served on a championship bench in seven of the events, making him the winningest coach in Jr. NLL Tournament history.
