HELP THE COPS
I believe city hall should increase the budget for the police. Until you need to report a crime on the weekend, you have no recourse but to wait until a weekday as the districts are closed due to lack of manpower and civilians are manning the shop. I had to report a fraud and got nowhere as no police were available on the non-emergency line. Please make sure our police services get the money they need. Our mayor needs to step up and quit thinking of stupid things to spend our money on. Birds, a trivia bus, the emergency climate action, etc. Get a woman on it, mayor!

GIVE IT A REST
Is the mayor having trouble pushing her socialist agenda? Just resign, Jyoti Gondek. I’ll take Sean Chu over you any day. Try doing something for Calgary instead of harassing others who don’t bow to socialism.

(The winds of change are blowing right back in her face these days.)

LEGAL GUNS?
Another murder in Calgary. The police have said they have seized firearms in recent crimes. My question is are any of these firearms owned by legal firearms owners? The police seem reluctant to release this information to the public they work for.

C’MON CNN
It is about time Brian Stelter’s show was cancelled and he was ousted. CNN has clearly become a network of the Democrats and this needs to change with many more ousters of talking heads and pundits. It would be nice to see CNN return to the ratings and trust that it once, many, many years ago, enjoyed,

NO HELP AT ALL
I had a good chuckle reading Ed Skelding’s letter Thursday. Ed, while our business almost went under during COVID, and I watched around 80% of the other businesses in our mall close shop, unable to make their lease payments, Jason Kenney was on holidays. That’s not the Alberta way, that’s the Trudeau way. Anyone with any sort of leadership qualities doesn’t hide when times are tough, they lead by example. Remember how Jason Kenney helped small businesses back then? I do, he gave the lease companies money, assuming they’d give the tenant a break. They didn’t. He told restaurant owners a time frame in which they could reopen so they brought in all their perishable foods, then he pushed the date back after his holiday, leaving them with losses at a time no one could afford any loss. He needs to go, he has no business putting any sort of input to new leadership of the UCP because he himself doesn’t know how to lead. He’s simply embarrassing himself at this point.

EXHIBIT A
It looks like law schools will be able to use Donald Trump as a case, case, case, case, case study. He will be to law school what a cadaver is to med school.
S.I. PETERSEN
(Ha! When he’s nothing but bones, they will still be talking about him.)
