2022 MIAA D1 Semifinals: No. 1 St. John’s Prep 12, No. 4 Hingham 8

BURLINGTON – Great teams perform at a championship level in championship moments. Trailing 8-7 midway through the fourth quarter of Saturday’s Division I semifinal against No. 4 Hingham – a championship performance was given by top-seeded St. John’s Prep.

After going back-and-forth with the Harbormen all afternoon, the Eagles scored the game’s final five goals to advance back to the state championship game. Jimmy Ayers (Hopkins) finished the day with five of SJP’s 12 goals – four of which came in the second half when Prep needed it most.
