Villarreal winger Yéremi Pino made history on Wednesday night, becoming the youngest player in the club’s history to score in a Champions League match, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Spain international opened the scoring in Villarreal’s 4-1 win over Young Boys in Bern on his 19th birthday, surpassing Italy’s Giuseppe Rossi, who at 21 was until yesterday the youngest player to score in the competition for the Yellow Submarine.
Samu Chukwueze, scorer of the fourth goal in the same match, became the third youngest player in the club’s history to score in the Champions League at the age of 22.
