New Celtic signing Kyogo Furuhashi is no stranger to competing against the best players in the game – as his crossbar challenge battle against Andres Iniesta proves.
The Japan international completed a move to the Hoops, subject to international clearance, in a deal thought to be worth around £4.5million, and the 26-year-old leaves behind former club Vissel Kobe – and ex-team-mate Iniesta.
The World Cup and Champions League winner is obviously pretty taken by Furuhashi and invited him onto his own YouTube channel earlier this month.
Iniesta required an opponent as he staged a cross bar challenge, corner kick contest and keep-uppy competition and Furuhashi more than held his own against the legendary Barcelona legend:
As you can see, Iniesta managed to eventually come out on top, but there’s no shame in losing out to a bona fide modern legend of the game, is there?
It remains to be seen when Furuhashi will make his first appearance in the Hoops, with Ange Postecoglou’s side taking on Danish outfit FC Midtjylland in the second qualifying round of the Champions League on Tuesday night.
