Troyes have this afternoon released a statement in support of striker Hyun-Jun Suk after the South Korean was the subject of racist comments during Sunday night’s match against Marseille.

Domestic broadcaster Amazon Prime’s microphones picked up the remarks near the OM bench, according to RMC Sport, with the fixture being played behind closed doors.

After a late tackle from the forward on Pape Gueye, a voice is heard saying “the samurai’s cut him down twice”, before another added “he’s going to make some sushi”.

RMC Sport add that the LFP’s disciplinary commission is going to look into the incident. Marseille president Pablo Longoria has tonight spoken to his opposite number Aymeric Magne to offer an apology on behalf of the club, and will look to find out who made the comments on his return from Paris on Friday.
