Real Madrid have just lost a centre-back in Sergio Ramos, but they could lose another in Raphael Varane. The Mirror are reporting that Manchester United have made an offer of 50m pounds for the Frenchman. But, Real Madrid won’t listen to offers under 80m pounds, say the same newspaper.

Jose Bordalas is looking to raid former club Getafe and bring Djene Dakonam to Valencia. The issue is that the defender has a contract until 2023 and Los Azulones won’t let him go easily.

Alex Isak put in a very impressive display for Sweden against Spain in Matchday 1 at Euro 2020, which after his decent season at Real Sociedad has seen him catch the eye of some of Europe’s biggest clubs. La Real president Jokin Aperribay has admitted that if a big offer arrives, their hands may be tied. It is worth remembering that Borussia Dortmund have a buy-back option, too.

Marseille president Pablo Longoria wants to sell Dario Benedetto this summer and replace him with Cagliari striker Giovanni Simeone.

Edin Dzeko’s days as a Roma player seem to be numbered, with the club keen to get his nine million euro a year salary off the books, and Jose Mourinho wants to replace him with Torino striker Andrea Belotti.

Barcelona are keen to bring in extra competition for Jordi Alba at left-back, with Junior Firpo having failed to make the grade, and one name that has come to the table is Benfica’s Alex Grimaldo, who came through La Masia before leaving for Portugal in 2015. Atletico Madrid have also shown an interest in Grimaldo.

Real Betis want to bring in a centre-back to replace Aissa Mandi, who left for Villarreal, and Corriere della Sera note that Lazio’s Luiz Felipe is on their wish list. However, the same publication notes that the Biancocelesti have offered the Brazilian a new deal, with his current contract set to expire in 2022.

Udinese are already thinking about how to spend some of the money they will receive from Atletico Madrid for Rodrigo de Paul, with the Italian side eyeing a move for PSV Eindhoven striker Maximiliano Romero, who has struggled to go to the next step in the Netherlands.

Fiorentina have confirmed that Gennaro Gattuso has left his position as head coach, just a couple of weeks after being appointed. This is due to disagreements with regard to transfer policy, as Gattuso wanted La Viola to bring in Porto midfielder Sergio Oliveira and Valencia winger Goncalo Guedes, but they were deemed too costly.

Arsenal finished in eighth position in the Premier League last season, which is well below expectation, and as such the Gunners are looking to strengthen ahead of the 2021/22 campaign. According to the journalist Steve Mills, Mikel Arteta has identified Brighton centre-back Ben White as a good option to come in. There are also reports that Leicester City playmaker James Maddison and Porto winger Jesus Corona are on their wish list.

Barcelona are interested in signing unhappy Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek, according to reports in England. But due to the Catalan club’s precarious financial situation, they can only try to do a swap deal with the Red Devils. There is talk in England that Philippe Coutinho and Miralem Pjanic could head to Old Trafford in exchange for Van de Beek.
