Tottenham are set to continue their busy off-season transfer activity with a 60 million pound deal for Everton’s Brazilian forward Richarlison.
According to reports, Richarlison has completed a medical in Brazil and will fly to London next week to finalise the move, believed to be five years.
Chelsea had been considering a move for Richarlison, but appear determined to land Raphinha from Leeds United along with Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.
Arsenal were also believed to be in the hunt for Richarlison but opted for countryman Gabriel Jesus.
The 25-year-old forward will join Yves Bissouma, Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic as Spurs’ off-season acquisitions.
Tottenham are also believed to be close to signing Middlesbrough’s Djed Spence.
Everton are experiencing some pressure to meet the Premier League Profit and Sustainability rules and Richarlison’s exit will ease that.
It is believed that the initial deal is worth 50m pounds, with a further 10m pounds to come in add-ons.
Spurs have also been heavily linked with Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet on loan as Antonio Conte builds his squad upon his first off-season at the helm.
Richarlison would bolster Tottenham’s strong frontline that already includes Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min.
The Brazil international had joined Everton in 2018, netting 43 goals in 135 appearances, but only managed 10 in the league last term as the Toffees narrowly avoided the drop.
