Tottenham Hotspur: Fans rip into Davinson Sanchez’s Brentford display

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans vented their frustrations with Davinson Sanchez’s performance in their game in north London on Thursday night.

Spurs started the night off in ninth spot of the Premier League table, however, the three points took Antonio Conte’s men up the table into sixth place and with a game in hand on the teams above them.

Do Spurs need to sell Sanchez?

No

Yes

The game against Thomas Frank’s Brentford marked Sanchez’s seventh appearance in the Premier League of the season and his fourth under the new Spurs boss, Conte.

However, it was apparent these Spurs fans were left far from impressed by the Colombian in the game on Thursday as he came up against the Bees’ talisman in Ivan Toney.

What did these fans have to say?

“I cannot believe Davinson Sanchez still plays for my football club”

“Davinson sanchez couldn’t win a battle against a cold this bloke is horrendous”

“Sanchez vs Toney is a disaster waiting to happen.”

“sanchez is painful to watch x”

“sanchez is a proper liability”

“Dier and Sanchez will always be a calamity”

There were claims over the summer transfer window suggesting the 25-year-old could well have been on his way out of N17, however, the reported swap deal for Jules Koundee did not materialise.

And going by the reaction of these fans, it seems these fans would’ve welcomed his departure and it’s a surprise he retained his spot in the XI after his horror show in Slovenia last week.
