Tottenham are among the clubs to have asked about Red Bull Salzburg starlet Karim Adeyemi’s potential availability.
Karim Adeyemi, 19, is considered to be one of the hottest prospects across Europe, with some of the continent’s leading sides vying for his signature following his eye-catching displays with Red Bull Salzburg. The young forward has been scoring goals left, right and centre for RB Salzburg, receiving plaudits from all corners of Europe for the consistency with which he is finding the back of the net.
Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are among the chasing pack. The three-cap Germany international has netted 14 goals and supplied two assists in 21 appearances across all competitions this season, including 10 goals in 12 league outings.
Adeyemi is tilting towards a move to Bundesliga, which makes Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund the hot favourites to land him. In reality, Tottenham seem on the periphery of those vying for the 19-year-old prospect’s signature, though they entirely cannot be ruled out at this moment in time.
Spurs have wasted no time in replacing manager Nuno Espirito Santo with Antonio Conte. The 52-year-old Italian, who returns to the Premier League after being sacked by Chelsea in 2018, has signed an 18-month deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and will quickly look to get the club back on track after the recent crisis.
With just two months left to go until the start of the winter transfer window, Conte and the Spurs board may have already started planning about possible incomings.
Tottenham must freshen up their attacking options
Tottenham have struggled to score goals this season, with last season’s Golden Boot winner Harry Kane managing only one in nine league appearances to date. Son Heung-min has gone off the boil, while Lucas Moura continues to blow hot and cold.
Antonio Conte should lead the north London club’s steady evolution of their forward unit, with Kane’s long-term future at the club still to be resolved and the likes of Son and Moura set to turn 30 next year. Bryan Gil, signed from Sevilla in an exchange deal with Erik Lamela in the summer, is a top young prospect, but there are doubts over the long-term role of Steven Bergwijn. In addition, Dele Alli’s stock has nosedived massively over the last couple of years at the club.

19-year-old Karim Adeyemi could become a huge part of Tottenham’s rebuild under the tactically astute Conte. He is one of the coveted young forwards in Europe and while RB Salzburg has ruled out selling him in January, the teenager is destined to leave the Austrian club at one point or another.
Going by his exploits in the Austrian Bundesliga and in the Champions League, where he’s one of the top scorers this season, the Germany international has all the makings of coming through the door at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as an excellent long-term prospect.
Adeyemi is a burgeoning talent with loads of potential and is more than capable of making the step up to the Premier League from the Austrian Bundesliga. Set to turn 20 in January, he would want to be a guaranteed starter every weekend, which makes a move to Spurs viable in the future.
The high-profile appointment of Conte has now given Tottenham a pull factor, so it won’t be surprising to see Adeyemi choose the north London club next year perhaps as a stepping stone before eventually joining a bigger club.
