Sandro Tonali had a personalized training session today as he hopes to completely recover by next Sunday.

Milan kicked off their 2022/23 Serie A season last night with a 4-2 win over Udinese at San Siro. However, Sandro Tonali was watching his teammates from the stands as he suffers from an injury.

As reported by Milannews.it, today Tonali did a personalized training session on the pitch. He is heading towards recovery and he wants to be there at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia when Milan face Atalanta next Sunday.

Initially there were fears that Sandro would miss a lot of games due to his flexor problem, but tests found no musculotendinous and this allowed Stefano Pioli to breathe, as he is light in midfield and is looking for a summer signing there to replace the out of favor Tiémoué Bakayoko.

After yesterday’s game and today’s session, the Milan players will have the day off tomorrow to celebrate Ferragosto. Training will resume on Tuesday for an afternoon session ahead of Atalanta.
