Tickets for Real Madrid vs PSG already sold out

Real Madrid supporters have not lost faith in their team’s chances in the Champions League, despite having lost 1-0 in the first leg of the round of 16 against Paris Saint-Germain, with all the tickets for the return leg in the Spanish capital having already sold out.

It took less than four hours for last 6,000 tickets to be sold out for the tie on March 9. In total, 60,000 spectators will be in the stands, hoping that their team can turn things around the French giants.

All tickets that have been made available to fans through official sales channels have sold out in record time. And tickets weren’t cheap either, ranging between 100 and 410 euros.

“It has been a long time since there has been so much expectation on a football match,” workers at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu stated, convinced that the stadium will look spectacular despite the ongoing works taking place.

For the game against PSG, Madrid will open one of the corners which has been closed due to works,, which will considerably increase the capacity of the stadium.

There will also be PSG fans at the Santiago Bernabeu, as French fans have also bought out all of the tickets allocated for them.

A famous European night awaits

The last big European match at the Bernabeu with fans in the stadium was against Manchester City, before the pandemic.

Madrid lost 2-1 on a night in which they took the lead through Isco before a Sergio Ramos red card quickly changed things.

Last season, Los Blancos played at Valdebebas behind closed doors, with duels against Liverpool and Chelsea being the major events for the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.

Madrid managed to beat Jurgen Klopp‘s men, who ended up complaining about the Real Madrid stadium, which he described as “a training pitch”. But Madrid were then knocked out by Chelsea in the semi-finals.

PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino will not be able to say the same about the Bernabeu as a pristine pitch and vast crowd will be there to greet the Ligue 1 giants.
