Mike Maignan’s recovery is going much faster than expected and he’s already partly training with the group

On October 13, Maignan underwent wrist surgery, with an estimated recovery time of 10 weeks made official by Milan.

5 weeks later, and it seems that the return of Iron Mike is almost complete. il Corriere della Sera reported this morning that Maignan could already be back for the match against Sassuolo next Sunday.

The news were echoed and confirmed by Milannews.it, who have learned that indeed the former Lille man’s recovery is progressing much faster than thought. Maignan is back training with the ball and he’s apparently got the all-clear from the doctors. Therefore, the comeback is near.

Today he trained with the rest of the goalkeepers for the first part of the session before continuing with personalized work. He will of course not be rushed until there’s certainty of his recovery.
