Aston Villa are facing competition from Premier League rivals Southampton and Brighton to sign Chelsea wonderkid Tino Livramento, as reported by Goal.

Is history about to repeat itself at Stamford Bridge?

On the final day of the January 2020 transfer window, Chelsea reluctantly accepted a £3 million bid from Brighton for Tariq Lamptey, after the youngster rejected the chance to stay in West London.

And the Blues were left feeling, well, rather blue.

According to Goal, Chelsea were ‘devastated’ to learn that Lamptey would be leaving.

Should Livramento follow in his footsteps – with Brighton hoping to raid Stamford Bridge for another jet-heeled right-back – the reaction certainly wouldn’t be a cheery one.

Reports linking Livramento with a move to Aston Villa earlier in June didn’t go down particularly well among the Chelsea fanbase.

Is Tino Livramento leaving Chelsea for Southampton?

With just 12 months left on his contract, it is understood that the 18-year-old is also attracting glances from South Coast duo Southampton and Brighton.

AC Milan and RB Leipzig are involved too.

Although in truth, given that both clubs have made it their mission to snap up the most exciting, up-and-coming talents in European football, it would be more of a surprise if Milan and Leizpig weren’t interested in Livramento.

Interestingly, Southampton also have a track record when it comes to signing exciting full-backs from a London giant. Should he move to St Mary’s, Livramento would be competing with Kyle Walker-Peters for a place in Ralph Hasenhuttl’s starting XI.

Livramento produced an impressive 13 goals and assists in 26 matches last season, securing Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year award along the way.

On paper, he would be a perfect fit for Hasenhuttl’s counter-attacking style, an approach which relies on plenty of thrust and energy from out wide.
