Seattle Sounders FC vs. the LA Galaxy

SEATTLE, WASH. – After a 3-0 win over Liga MX side Club León on Tuesday in Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League action, Sounders FC (0-2-0, 0 points) looks to get its first points of the 2022 MLS regular season tomorrow afternoon against the LA Galaxy (2-0-0, 6 points) at Lumen Field (12:30 p.m. PT / FOX, Sirius XM FC, 1090 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). Saturday’s match marks the 44th meeting between the two sides across all competitions since Sounders FC joined MLS in 2009, with Seattle leading the series 16-15-12. Tomorrow’s broadcast on FOX is the first of 13 nationally-televised MLS regular season fixtures in 2022 for Sounders FC, as well as the first of five airing on network television.
Seattle holds a narrow 11-10-12 advantage in MLS regular-season play, including a current seven-match unbeaten streak (4-0-3), with the Galaxy’s last win coming in September of 2018. Sounders FC is 6-4-6 at home in those matches with a 26-18 goal advantage.
Following Saturday’s match, the Rave Green take their 3-0 aggregate lead to Estadio León for the second leg of the SCCL Quarterfinals against Club León on Thursday, March 17 (5:30 p.m. PT / FOX Sports, TUDN, El Rey 1360 AM). Sounders FC returns to league action next Sunday, March 20 against Austin FC at Q2 Stadium (1:30 p.m. PT / FS1, FOX Deportes, iHeart Media, El Rey 1360 AM).
