Sevilla’s pre-season preparations continue when they face Las Palmas in Cadiz on Thursday at 6pm (UK time).
Julen Lopetegui’s men beat Coventry City 4-0 in their first friendly of the summer while for Las Palmas, this will be their second game in two days after facing Espanyol on Tuesday.

Sevilla will be looking to build on what was a very positive 2020/21 campaign this time around, with Los Nervionenses ending the season in fourth place, just nine points adrift of eventual La Liga winners Atletico Madrid but 15 ahead of Real Sociedad in fifth. Key player: Youssef En-Nesyri (Sevilla)
With 18 goals in La Liga alone — at least 13 more than any other player at the club — Youssef En-Nesyri was comfortably Sevilla’s prime attacking threat last season. And that record is made all the more impressive when considering he started just 23 of his 38 appearances.
The Morocco international has been linked with a move to the Premier League with West Ham recently, though leaving a Champions League regular for Europa League football seems farfetched to say the least.
But for now, En-Neysri will be fully focused on kick-starting his pre-season campaign ready for the testing season ahead, during which Sevilla will be looking to bring home silverware and stay in touch with the title pack for as long as possible.
