Officers are working on a “proportionate policing plan” to allow Rangers supporters to watch the Europa League final safely amid calls for fan zones to show the match in Glasgow.
The Gers are heading to Seville after they beat RB Leipzig 3-1 in a thrilling semi-final at Ibrox Stadium on Thursday night.
The Glasgow side battled back from behind as early goals in the second leg from James Tavernier and Glen Kamara sent them on their way before John Lundstram fired in the winner late on.

Glasgow to Edinburgh line to be closed all weekend after train derails sparking rail chaos
A Glasgow to Edinburgh railway line is to be closed all weekend after a train derailed from its tracks overnight.
ScotRail alerted its customers to the issue this morning, advising that various routes will be affected.
The provider has described the problem as an “operational incident”, which occurred between Coatbridge Sunnyside and Airdrie, North Lanarkshire.

Police race to ‘rammy’ in Glasgow city centre as four arrested
Four people have been arrested following an alleged rammy in Glasgow city centre last night.
Police raced to Gordon Street, near Glasgow Central Station, after the alarm was raised at around 4.35pm on Friday, May 6.
Officers cordoned off a section of the street following the alleged disturbance.

The thermonuclear RS-24 Yars ballistic missile was displayed during rehearsals for Russia’s Victory Day parade on Saturday, with the weapon driven past rows of armed soldiers on a 16-wheeler.
Experts fear the missile, which weighs almost 50 tonnes, is capable of carrying up to 10 warheads as they watched it paraded through Red Square in preparation for the event on Monday.

A toddler who developed a horror rash is set to lose his fingertips and toes – but doctors say his illness could have been fatal if it wasn’t for his mum’s gut instinct and quick-thinking.
Zoe Walne, 37, says her son Teddie, 17 months, was his “normal energetic and mischievous” self the day before he woke up with a mystery red mark on his head, the Mirror reports .
Later, the mum-of-four left her partner Duncan Stewart, 39, at home in Burnley, Lancashire, and headed out to meet her mum for an Easter Sunday walk.
