Serie A duo Roma and Juventus are now battling for the signature of PSG’s Leandro Paredes, some days after it seemed like a one-way battle involving the Bianconeri.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that while Juve are continuing to work for potential incomings, they are looking to sign Paredes on an initial loan deal with the obligation to buy next summer. But they are now potentially facing a new competitor in the form of Roma.
Paredes has previously played for Roma and Jose Mourinho has made it clear that he wants another midfielder, following Gini Wijnaldum’s injury. Paredes’ profile is quite liked by the club and if the Old Lady do not move for the Argentine, the Giallorossi could definitely make an attempt for the midfielder.
Juve had initially planned to sign Paredes permanently but Manchester United’s failure to sign Adrien Rabiot meant that they couldn’t get enough money to finance the move for the PSG man.
