Richard Keys has said on Twitter that Everton appointing Rafael Benitez would be a bad decision.
The former Sky Sports presenter has claimed on Twitter that he has spoken to ex-Everton players who are against the appointment of Benitez as the Toffees boss.
Sky Sports have reported that Everton are close to the appointment of former Liverpool manager Benitez.
The Spaniard was in charge of Everton’s bitter Merseyside rivals Liverpool from 2004 until 2010.
Under Benitez, Liverpool won the Champions League and the FA Cup once each.
Rafael Benitez also led the Reds to another Champions League final in 2007.
Everton are looking for a new manager following the return of Carlo Ancelotti to his former club Real Madrid.
Noooooo. What a bad appointment. A shocker Jim. Ive already spoken to half a dozen guys who wore the shirt & theyve all said the same thing Im done. Moshiri doesnt understand Everton if he thinks this is a good idea. Evertonians will watch Tranmere.
