This Friday morning has seen Real Madrid announce that striker Karim Benzema has tested positive for COVID-19.
As such, the 33-year-old will have to remain in isolation until he tests negative, at which point he can return for pre-season training with his club teammates.
Benzema was set to return to Real Madrid‘s facilities this Friday, July 23, after participating in Euro 2020 with France.
Real Madrid have not provided any details about Benzema‘s condition, so it is unclear if he has any symptoms caused by COVID-19 or if he is asymptomatic.
