Rangers vs Brondby: TV channel, live stream, early team news

[ad_1]

Rangers head into tonight’s match against Brondby in need of a victory in order to keep their European hopes alive.

Defeats against Lyon and Sparta Prague have put Steven Gerrard’s side in a precarious position heading into Matchday 3.

Rangers should, however, take comfort in their strong record against sides from Denmark. They’ve won 7 of their last 8 matches against Danish opposition including, most recently, home and away victories against FC Midtjylland in the 2019/20 season.

Tonight, however, will mark the first time ever that Rangers and Brondby have ever met one another. Brondby were last in Scotland in 2016 when they beat Hibs 1-0 in a Europa League qualification match.

What is the early Rangers vs Brondby team news?

Ryan Kent is unlikely to return after a recent hamstring injury.

Filip Helander’s absence means Leon Balogun and Connor Goldson are likely to continue at the heart of defence.

Ryan Jack is back in light training but unlikely to be deemed fit enough to play. Steven Davis and Kemar Roofe could make it into the starting eleven after starting the weekend’s draw against Hearts on the bench.

Brondby, meanwhile, will be without their first-choice goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.

In a further boost to Rangers’ chances, starting centre-back Rasmus Wikstrom and midfielders Mathias Greve and Pete Bjur are all also unavailable.
