BUENOS AIRES, July 31 (Xinhua) — Substitute Benjamin Garre scored late as Racing Club continued their unbeaten start to Argentina’s Primera Division season on Saturday with a 1-0 home victory over Sarmiento.

The former Manchester City youth team player replaced Tomas Chancalay in the 80th minute and struck four minutes later with a long-range effort after being set up by Leonel Miranda

Racing now boast two wins and two draws from their opening four matches of the season while Sarmiento have one win and three losses.

Meanwhile, reigning league champions Colon also relied on a late goal from a substitute to secure a 1-0 home win over Godoy Cruz. Cristian Ferreira, who replaced injured forward Wilson Morelo in the 44th minute, netted the winner with a 67th-minute free-kick.

And an own goal from goalkeeper Lucas Acosta canceled out Jose Sand’s 21st-minute strike as Union Santa Fe drew 1-1 at Lanus.
