BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) — Enzo Copetti and Leonel Miranda scored second-half goals as Racing Club recovered from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 at River Plate in Argentina’s Primera Division on Sunday.

Esequiel Barco gave River the lead with a long-range effort and Nicolas de la Cruz made it 2-0 just before halftime with a low finish after combining with Santiago Simon.

Copetti struck for the visitors just after the hour mark by latching onto a Gabriel Hauche cross with a header into the bottom-left corner.

Leonel Miranda equalized eight minutes from time by nodding home from 12 yards after Javier Pinola miscued a headed clearance.

The result left Racing eighth in the 14-team Group A standings while River remain second, a point behind leaders Banfield.

In other fixtures on Sunday, Estudiantes won 3-2 at home to Arsenal Sarandi, hosts Sarmiento overcame Union 2-1 and San Lorenzo drew 1-1 at Argentinos Juniors.
