BUENOS AIRES, May 10 (Xinhua) — Carlos Alcaraz and Enzo Copetti each scored braces as Racing Club advanced to the semifinals of Argentina’s Primera Division on Tuesday with a 5-0 home win over Aldosivi.
Carlos Alcaraz netted twice in the first half hour before Copetti added two more goals in the first 12 minutes of the second half.
Javier Correa completed the rout with a cool finish after Tomas Chancalay’s assist 12 minutes from time.
Boca Juniors also progressed to the last four on Tuesday with a 2-0 home victory over Defensa y Justicia.
Colombian forward Sebastian Villa opened the scoring on the stroke of halftime and Juan Ramirez doubled the lead in the 78th minute.
