Bayern Munich are through to the Champions League Quarter-Finals after beating RB Salzburg 7-1 on the night, 8-2 on aggregate. Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick, Thomas Müller a brace, Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sané also got in on the act. But how did the Bayern Munich players fare?
Manuel Neuer, 7 – A welcomed return for the goalkeeper. He made Bayern Munich’s defence look much more assured and composed. Neuer’s communication skills a huge boost for Julian Nagelsmann’s side. Made three important saves and was excellent with his distribution, completing all 12 passes longer than 40 yards.
Benjamin Pavard, 7 – Arguably Bayern Munich’s best defender on the night. Has developed well under Julian Nagelsmann and looked at home in a back three. Made seven clearances and also had the most touches of any Bayern player (144). Also made 10 progressive passes, the most of any player on the night.

Lucas Hernandez, 6
Serge Gnabry, 6 – A solid first half but substituted at half-time for Bouna Sarr. Scored Bayern Munich’s fourth goal after the half hour mark which arguably put the game to bed. Operating as a wing-back isn’t his best position but carried his duties out well.
Joshua Kimmich, 7
Jamal Musiala, 6
Kingsley Coman, 7 – The Frenchman a player who has flourished for Julian Nagelsmann since returning from injury. Operating at wing-back, Coman carries out his defensive duties and provides a threat in the final third. Excellent first touch on the night, can beat his man and also provided the cross for Robert Lewandowski’s first penalty.
Leroy Sané, 7
Thomas Müller, 8
Robert Lewandowski, 10 – The Pole completed a hat-trick inside 11 minutes, the touch for his first penalty to invite the challenge from Maximilian Wöber a moment of brilliance. Now has 11 Champions League goals for the season and continues to excel. Makes the most difficult tasks look easy.
