One of the highly-rated Dutch defenders, Perr Schuurs has completed his move to Italy. Torino have now officially announced the signing of the centre-back.
Earlier in the summer transfer window, Ivan Juric’s club lost the services of Gleison Bremer, who joined Juventus on a five-year deal. Schuurs, who has reportedly joined the Italian club for a transfer fee of around €9.5 million plus €3.5 million in bonuses, could replace Bremer in Torino’s backline.
Reports in Italy have claimed that Ajax have added a clause in the defender’s contract that will ensure a 15% on the player’s future resale value for the Dutch club.
Following his move to Ajax from Fortuna Sittard, Schuurs, 22, made 60 league appearances for the current Eredivisie title holders. With notable improvements under Juric, Torino clinched the 10th spot in the Serie A standings in the 2021/22 campaign. The Piedmontese club won their first league fixture against Monza with a 2-1 scoreline.
