Brahim Díaz has officially returned to the Rossoneri, joining on a two-year deal.
Ever since the last season ended, it was clear that the intention of both Milan and Brahim is to continue together, as the Spaniard had a positive year on loan at the club last campaign.
Despite not having an option to buy, Milan got onto the negotiations table with Real Madrid and managed to work out a deal to bring Brahim back. Today, the official announcement was made:
“Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Brahim Abdelkader Díaz from Real Madrid CF on a temporary basis for two years. The contract ties the football player to the Rossoneri Club until 30 June 2023. Brahim, after scoring 7 goals in 39 appearances with Milan last season, will continue to be a Rossoneri player, wearing the number 10 jersey.”
The official statements of Milan and Real do not mention it, but it’s believed that the Diavolo have an option to buy for 22m at the end of the two-year deal, while Los Blancos retain a buy-back option for 27m. The club chose to give Brahim the #10 jersey, which was left vacant after the exit of Hakan Calhanoglu, who joined Inter as a free agent after his contract with Milan expired.
Brahim was at Casa Milan yesterday to sign the contract and today he’s already trained with the club.
