Speaking to Prime Video in the wake of his team’s 2-1 victory tonight over Lille, Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar underlined his team’s perseverance to get the late winner, as well as recent criticism over his individual performances.
His words transcribed in RMC Sport, the forward acknowledged the threat posed by last year’s champions, who impressed in their counter-attacking in the first half.
Along with Ángel Di María, the Brazilian was instrumental in turning the game around for Les Parisiens after a dire first hour, taking more initiatives on the left-hand side and notably coming up with the assist for the Argentine’s winner.
“It was a very difficult game. We had a good team in front of us. We fought until the end, we scored. Well done to everyone, I am happy.”
“Criticism is normal. I’ve been playing pro football for 15 years and I don’t care about it. I am my biggest critic. They don’t know what goes on, what we do.”
