Newcastle United: Many fans love this latest decision made by Graeme Jones

A whole host of Newcastle United fans are delighted on Twitter with this latest change Graeme Jones has made as manager.

Jones, who was only brought in as an assistant coach in January this year to help turn Newcastle’s results around, is now the interim manager of his boyhood club and managed to oversee a 1-1- draw away to Crystal Palace in his first game in charge.

Who would you rather as Newcastle manager?

Fonseca!

Ten Hag!

Ten Hag!

It has previously been reported by Craig Hope that some Newcastle players were concerned at the number of days off they were given under Steve Bruce, but now he’s gone, Jones has got the squad in all five days this week ahead of their daunting match against Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

A lot of Newcastle fans on Twitter are loving this latest change made by Jones.

What have these Newcastle fans been saying?

“We don’t demand a team that wins we demand a team that trains.”

@LeafyDragon_FPL

“We are training never thought I’d see the day.”

@Aaron_Kainth

“That will be a shock to the system for them after Steve ‘let’s have a day off’Bruce.”

@MrBannon2

“Amazing that this actually makes news. Last week cleaning the windows at SJP was headline news. Just shows how neglected this club has been from the playing side to the infrastructure.”

@BurstOfTheStar

“Things we like to hear about”

@Rob_Nufc93

“Quite literally a miracle”

@Joe97100054

This will be the first full week that Jones has had as interim manager so he can fully get across his ideas and way of potentially causing an upset against a Chelsea side who just put seven goals past Norwich who are only two points behind Newcastle.

It’s clear to see from these Newcastle fans that just a small thing like getting the players in to train every day this week after such a poor start to the season can go a long way to earning praise and more time if results aren’t going your way as manager.
