Milan want to keep Sandro Tonali but would like a more favorable price, while Soualiho Meïté’s option will not be used.

The Rossoneri signed Tonali last summer on a €10m loan with a buy-out option set for €15m + €10m of bonuses.

Sandro had a complicated season with Milan, as while he was given chances over the course of the campaign due to the many injuries of Ismaël Bennacer, he was struggling to impress.

In any case, there is no doubt that Milan want to keep Tonali, who is a known Milanista, in their ranks. According to Milannews.it’s Antonio Vitiello and others, the Diavolo are in talks with Brescia President Massimo Cellino to renegotiate the terms that were agreed during last year’s summer market.

Vitiello says the relationship between the two clubs is excellent and the buy-out is not in danger, but Milan would like to get a discount on the player. Milan need to pay €25m in this mercato to get Tonali, who they believe can do much better than he did in 2019/20, and are trying to reduce the price or include players into the deal. Another solution would to agree on payment in installments.

Meanwhile, Soualiho Meïté – despite being used a lot in the final part of the season – will not be bought up. Milan will not use their €8m option, according to Milannews.it and others.
