Musa Esenu and colleagues celebrate first goal

BUL Football Club is still unbeaten in their away games after clinching a 2-1 victory over ten men SC Villa at FUFA Technical Center on Tuesday afternoon, thanks to Musa Esenu’s first half brace.

The forward opened the scoring on the 28th minute before completing his double one minute from the break to push his goal tally this season to three.

The Eastern Giants dominated much of the game and should have scored a few more. Esenu got close to scoring more for several times and Hilary Onek missed by an inch from range.

BUL forward Joseph Semujju takes on Oponent

SC Villa’s Oscar Mawa was sent off for an intentional heavy foul on Aggrey Madoi, but despite the Jogoos going down to ten men on the stroke of half time, BUL were unable to fashion more clear cut chances in the second period.

Richard Ayiko replaced Madoi because he was unwell and this set tone for more substitutions.

Ivan Wani and Richard Wandyaka entered the fray seven minutes off the hour mark as did Simon Peter Oketch and Dickson Niwamanya for Ibrahim Mugulusi and Ibrahim Nsimbe a quarter hour to the final whistle, but instead, it was the hosts who found the net.

Isaac Ogwanga pulled one back for the Jogoos but they couldn’t complete the comeback as the Eastern Giants secured their fourth win of the season to move to third on the table with 13 points.

BUL’s next showdown will be a Jinja derby with Gaddafi FC on Sunday
