Things got heated at the Wanda Metropolitano as Atletico Madrid players got into a confrontation with fans.
Atletico suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Villarreal with Nahuel Molina getting a late red card.

The mood turned at full-time and, according to reports, a group of around 30 to 40 supporters started to insult Antoine Griezmann.
Mario Hermoso then went to confront the fans to defend Griezmann.
They then started to insult Hermoso as well and that led to him growing even more frustrated.
Reports claim one fan called him ‘Madrista son of a b****’, provoking an even greater reaction.
Videos were posted on social media of him being held back and led away by his teammates.
The police also had to get involved to avoid the situation escalating even further.

His teammate Renan Lodi is said to have taken a different approach and shown them his middle finger.
Hermoso came through the ranks at Atletico’s rivals Real Madrid, but did not make a senior appearance before joining Espanyol.
He moved to Atletico in 2019 and was part of their LaLiga winning team in the 2020/21 season.
Diego Simone’s side will hope to get back to winning ways when they travel to Valencia next Monday.
