Manchester United’s search for a new manager is hotting up following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday.

Michael Carrick has been placed in temporary charge, while a number of high profile managers have been linked with the job.

talkSPORT understands Mauricio Pochettino is ‘desperate’ to leave Paris Saint-Germain for United, while Zinedine Zidane and Brendan Rodgers have reportedly been approached.

Meanwhile, Lokomotiv Moscow manager Ralf Rangnick is among the candidates to take over on an interim basis.

The Red Devils face Villarreal in a crunch Champions League clash tonight, live on talkSPORT 2, as Chelsea face Juventus on talkSPORT.
