Manchester United and Manchester City are set to do battle over Serge Gnabry this summer.
The Bayern Munich star is facing an uncertain future after turning down the offer of a new contract with the German champions.
According to The Sun, Bayern could be tempted to cash in on the player for a sum of £35million if no agreement over a new deal is likely.
United are keen to bolster their attacking line and could be tempted by a move as Erik ten Hag looks to rebuild the team.
The matter could also increase in urgency given Cristiano Ronaldo’s admission that he’s keen to leave Old Trafford this summer.
As for City, they’re also keen on fresh options in attack.
It’s said that Pep Guardiola’s side could be tempted by a move for Gnabry if Raheem Sterling does move on this summer, with Chelsea interested.
The England international looks increasingly likely to leave City, and according to Tony Cascarino, he could be an ideal signing for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Speaking on the Weekend Breakfast, Cascarino said: “I think they’ll do at least two big signings before the start of the season.
“I think that Raheem is perfect for Chelsea, I think that they need that kind of player.
“I love Raheem’s pace. There are so few players who can get to the byline as a wide player. Timo Werner is a terrible finisher, now some people say that Sterling’s finishing is not the greatest but he always gets chances and he always gets a decent number at the end of a season.”
