Manchester City Star Speaks Out On His Future Amid Claims He Could Be Sold To Arsenal

Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez has ruled out leaving the Etihad Stadium this summer. The Algerian has recently been linked with a switch to Arsenal, along with his teammate Raheem Sterling.

It was reported that the Citizens are looking to free up funds in order to sign the likes of Jack Grealish and Harry Kane, with Mahrez being one of the players expected to be sacrificed. However, speaking after scoring in Algeria’s 1-0 win over Mali, the 30-year-old said he had no intention of moving clubs:

“There is nothing about my future. I am well in Manchester. I will stay God Willing.”

Mahrez played a key role in helping City reach the Champions League final last season, scoring against Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-final, as well as in both legs of the semi-final versus Paris Saint-Germain.

The winger also bagged 14 goals in all competitions; the most he has scored in the three campaigns he has spent with City, so selling him now would be a big surprise.
