Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is edging towards favouring a move to England over France, according to reports in the German media.
Bayern Munich were also considering a bid for the Norwegian international but they fear the total cost of the operation could total €300m (£257m), including wages, agent charges and the €75m (£64m) transfer fee itself.
With that being the case, it would leave only three teams with a genuine chance of snapping up Haaland: Manchester City, Manchester United and Paris-Saint-Germain.
Considering the 21-year-old is seemingly keener on a switch to the Premier League, there is a feeling now that it could result in a direct fight between the two Manchester clubs for the forward’s signature.
As City have already missed out on signing Harry Kane, you would expect them to go all-in for Haaland next summer in order to secure their new number nine. We shall see if that actually happens.
