Manchester United are primed to lure Liverpool prodigy Ethan Ennis to Old Trafford this summer, according to reports.
Chelsea links
Ennis, 16, has long been viewed as one of the most promising up-and-coming talents on the red half of Merseyside.
The starlet is a midfielder by trade, with his exploits at academy level having seen Ennis, despite his tender years, called up to Liverpool’s U18 setup this past season.
And to say that he subsequently went on to impress would be putting it lightly, with the Englishman having racked up up five goals and an assist across eight appearances between the U18 Premier League and FA Youth Cup.
Amid such a crucial stage in his development, though, Ennis was always likely to attract outside interest.
In turn, it no doubt came as a blow for all associated with Liverpool when their midfield talent last month dropped a major hint that he was set to swap Merseyside for West London:

Manchester bound
As outlined above, though, if ensuing updates doing the rounds online this evening are anything to go by, then it appears that Ennis is in fact not headed to Chelsea, but another of Liverpool’s Premier League rivals.
The outfit in question? Manchester United.
As per an exclusive report on the part of Stretty News, the teen is all set for a move to Old Trafford over the weeks ahead:
‘Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils have swooped in to steal the talented playmaker away from their rivals.’
