A MAN has been left fighting for his life following a serious road crash.
The incident happened around 11.10am on Motherwell’s Bellshill Road on Friday, March 18.
A white Vauxhall Mokka, that was travelling north, left the road near Dalriada Crescent and entered the gardens of neighbouring houses.
Emergency services raced to the scene and the car’s 63-year-old driver was rushed to Wishaw General Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
No one else was injured as a result of the crash and the road was reopened around 3.30pm.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crash and those with information are asked to contact police via 101, quoting incident number 1208 of March 18.

Sergeant Craig McDonald, of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit in Motherwell, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crash and also anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash with dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation.
“Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident number 1208 of March 18.”
