As reported by Le10Sport, Strasbourg have joined the race for Montpellier midfielder turned right-back Junior Sambia. Marseille, however, who were interested back in the summer, have cooled their interest in the player, the outlet say.
The 25-year-old Frenchman’s deal at Montpellier expires in the summer and is likely to leave for free at the end of this season with talks over a new deal stalling, a situation which has caught Strasbourg’s interest.
Although OM are considering other players instead, Strasbourg are looking for a replacement for Bundesliga-bound full-back Anthony Caci. Lille, meanwhile, are also keeping an eye on the player in case Turkish international Zeki Celik leaves Les Dogues.
