BUENOS AIRES, March 23 (Xinhua) — Lazio are interested in signing late-blooming River Plate midfielder Agustin Palavecino, according to Argentine media reports.
The Italian Serie A club is monitoring the 25-year-old with a view to signing him in the European summer transfer window, TyC Sports reported on Wednesday.
A natural No. 10 who can also be deployed as a deep-lying playmaker, Palavecino is valued at around 10 million euros (11 million U.S. dollars).
Having begun his professional career at Argentina’s Platense in 2015, Palavecino rose to prominence with his performance for Colombia’s Deportivo Cali, where he played from 2019 to 2021.
He has enhanced his reputation since joining River Plate in February last year and had a key role in the Buenos Aires club’s 2021 Primera Division triumph.
