The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) looks to remain unbeaten at home in 2022 as they host Sporting Kansas City at Banc of California Stadium on Sunday, April 9 at 1:00 p.m. PT. (TV: ESPN / ESPN Deportes; Radio: 710 AM ESPN/ESPN app and 980 AM La Mera La Mera)
LAFC is 4-1-1 (13 points) this season after falling to crosstown rivals, Galaxy 2-1 on Saturday, April 9 at Dignity Health Sports Park.
NEWS & NOTES:
LAFC enters its third home match of the season undefeated 2-0-0. Overall, LAFC is 4-1-1 (W-T-L) and sits in 1st place of the western conference with 13 points.
Midfielder Ilie Sánchez set to face his former club for the first time since joining LAFC a free agent ahead of the 2022 regular season.
Forward, Cristian “Chicho” Arango notched his first goal of the 2022 season in the 79th minute vs. Galaxy on April 9.
Ilie Sánchez’s last appearance vs. Galaxy on April 9th marked his 150th MLS regular season appearance.
LAFC is set to host Orange County SC in the third round of the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, April 20.
LAFC is set to face Club America on August 3, 2022 at Sofi Stadium in a Leagues Cup friendly.
