Karela United CEO Elleony Amande has confirmed Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko have expressed interest in stalwart defender Augustine Randolf.
However, according to the CEO, the player is not for sale to any of these two clubs.
“The big two clubs in going to Africa this season have expressed interest in our right-back. But, we are not going to sell him,” he told Enoch Worlanyo on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show.
Randolf starred in 24 league games for the Passion and Pride outfit and is currently a key fixture in the Black Galaxies side that is seeking qualification to the 2023 CHAN competition.
With Samuel Appiah failing to impress on his maiden season at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium the club strongly feel the need to look for a solid option at the right-back position.
Meanwhile, Hearts have the experience of Samuel Inkoom to fall on but the Phobians want to introduce competition for the former FC Basel defender who glittered in the 10 games he played for Samuel Boadu’s men. Inkoom, 33, scored twice in 10 games for Hearts. The former African champions feel captain Fatawu Mohammed does not offer strong competition to Inkoom and want Randolf to come.
