Kaizer Chiefs could welcome utility player Lebogang Manyama for their Sunday’s league encounter against Maritzburg United.

According to Soccer Laduma, Manyama has used the international break to step up his recovery from a niggling injury that ruled him out of the Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates.

A source known to the publication revealed that Manyama has been looking good at training, and that the midfielder could travel to Harry Gwala with Chiefs this coming weekend.
“Lebza has been looking good at training, he is sharp and could be included in the team for the next match (against Maritzburg United),” said the source.

Manyama has managed just four appearances for Chiefs this season as injuries continue to disrupt his progress under Stuart Baxter.
The last time Manyama featured for Amakhosi was against AmaZulu on 2 October where he came on as an 80th-minute substitute.

His possible return will undoubtedly give Baxter a selection headache as the Chiefs technical team appears to be closer to finding their winning combinations.
